Landfill Profile
The Newell Regional Landfill is approved to accept non-hazardous industrial waste into a dedicated disposal cell
The bulk of the material accepted is generated by oil and gas exploration and production and is hydrocarbon and/or produced water contaminated soil.
There is a disposal fee for this waste and a WAA (Waste Acceptance or Disposal Application) form must be completed and submitted with required characterization documents such as laboratory analyses or MSDS sheets.
In addition, analyses permitting and with generator approval, some of this soil is suitable for and is used as cover material in the Municipal Solid Waste Cell.
All incoming industrial wastes may be subjected to random screening analyses.
